Stevenson House Awarded Taproot Grant

April 2011: The Taproot Foundation has awarded Stevenson House a Marketing Service Grant geared at developing a brochure that will help us increase our ability to reach seniors in need of affordable housing and inform them, as well as potential volunteers and donors, about all that Stevenson House has to offer.

Unlike traditional foundations that make cash grants, the Taproot Foundation makes grants of professional consulting services, called Service Grants, through their Service Grant Program. Every Service Grant is delivered pro bono by a team of 5–6 business professionals who volunteer their time and expertise to help a nonprofit in the community. Their projects provide high potential nonprofits in the Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C. metro areas with the tools and services needed to strengthen their organizations and serve their communities.

We are thrilled about this service grant, and greatly appreciate all the volunteers from Taproot who are working with us to make this project a success.
