Joyce E. Braun
Resident Representative
Joyce has been a resident at Stevenson House since 2006, and feels it has
been the perfect fit for her. After teaching for 22 years in Iowa and Portland, Oregon, Joyce moved to the Bay Area where she received a master’s in Theology from St. Mary’s in Moraga. She later became principal of St. Leander’s (PreK–8) in San Leandro for 18 years, then worked as a part-time home instructor while earning a master’s in Education Administration from San Francisco State University. She first moved to the Peninsula in 2000 to help take care of her mother, then later moved to Stevenson House to be near her brother. Joyce joined the board as our resident representative, and provides a direct communications link between the board of directors and residents' association.
