

Bob Wachs, MD
Board Member
Bob joined the staff of Santa Clara Kaiser Permanente Hospital in 1976 as a member of the Emergency Department, and held a number of critical positions at Kaiser until his retirement in 2007. He was first appointed Assistant Chief, then Chief of the Emergency Department. He was also a member of several hospital committees and served as the Professional Staff Association secretary, vice president and president. Bob held the office of Chief of Patient Education from 1994 until his retirement and lectured frequently on a favorite topic of his, Men’s Health. Bob currently serves on the board of the Greenmeadow Community Scholarship Fund, is active in youth soccer and has been involved in the Santa Clara County Medical Association and the PTA. He obtained a bachelor’s degree with a major in Psychology from Northwestern University. While attending the University of Illinois College of Medicine, he earned both a master’s degree in pharmacology and a doctor of medicine degree. Bob joined the board after learning how Stevenson House is not just a place for seniors to live, but one for them grow, prosper and enrich their community.
